Position Title : Campaign Coordinator
Position Classification : Exempt
Basic Function :
Responsible for implementing certain elements of Light The Night and School & Youth campaigns for The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society within the Westchester/Hudson Valley Chapter's chartered area. Basic functions include: managing Walk teams and participating schools; providing fundraising support; assisting the campaign committees; overseeing volunteers; and providing overall support of the Light The Night and School & Youth campaigns.
Work Direction :
Works under the supervision, direction and training of the Senior Campaign Manager and other campaign staff as needed to accomplish assigned duties and responsibilities.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Recruit and manage assigned teams and individuals for Light The Night Walk campaign, and assists them with fundraising and event preparation through emails, calls and visits.
Recruit and manage assigned schools for the School & Youth campaign. Provide assistance for schools participating in the Pennies For Patients and Pasta For Pennies programs through fundraising support and in person meetings and assemblies.
Manage volunteers, including the Light The Night Walk committee for the Upper Hudson Valley region and the Youth Board under the supervision of the Senior Manager and Senior Director.
Prepare and order all campaign materials for Light The Night and School & Youth campaign.
Coordinate grassroots marketing and recruitment effort in Dutchess County primarily for Light The Night campaign and new Upper Hudson Valley Walk, but also for School & Youth campaign as needed.
Manage campaign websites and send Exact Target email communications as assigned.
Maintains a working knowledge of The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society mission and its programs to address them.
Works with Light The Night and School & Youth lead staff to ensure that best practices are complied with and strategies are put in place to maximize revenue while minimizing expenses.
Data entry, mailings and various administrative work related to the campaigns as assigned.
Performs other related duties as assigned.
Position Requirements :
Excellent word processing, excel and database management skills.
Excellent oral and written communication skills.
Strong public speaking skills.
Strong organizational skills and professional demeanor.
Strong interpersonal skills and judgment.
Minimum preferred education - Bachelor's Degree.
1-2 years related experience.
