Responsibilities

This position is for a Senior Systems Analyst for leading testing tasks for the MCS QA team. The candidate must be familiar with Software Development Life Cycle in development projects. The candidate must have performed medium to large size testing projects developed in Java/J2EE, XML and SQL with average to high level of complexity. The candidate should have solid experience in analysis, debugging, estimating LOE's etc.

He/ She must have solid interpersonal/communication skills & leadership abilities, should be able to work on & manage multiple projects, resources both onsite and offshore.

Project Management: Responsible to create project plans for the testing activity, resource allocation and management of tasks for multiple projects. Track milestones and come up with mitigation alternatives for issues and design gaps. Interact with Analyst, QA leads, Operation leads to ensure the deliverables are aligned.

Reviewing Approaches, Conducting TestPlan walkthroughs, help in preparing TestPlans for Functional Testing, System Integration Testing. Lead Functional Testing, System Integration Testing, Manage Defects, Debug, Troubleshoot, write shell, unix scripts to aid testing

Qualifications

Bachelors Degree in Computer Science or related field

5+ years of experience in leading and managing small teams
Preparation of test plans and test cases
Preparation of test data, i.e. - selecting the appropriate test claim(s) and corresponding transactions.
Verification / validation test results.
Proficient working knowledge of Billing and Reference systems.
5+ years Unix, Shell Scripting, PL/SQL,XML
Must understand Java/J2EE
Knowledge of QTP & Load Runner
Previous Quality Assurance experience required
Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word, Powerpoint;
Must possess strong communication skills (includes excellent oral, written, organizational, and interpersonal skills).
Ability to facilitate meetings/group discussions & make formal presentations/speeches.
Ability to listen to internal and external customers and communicate complex and technical answers clearly and concisely, adjusting language and terminology to the needs of the audience.
Ability to support and facilitate the development of other’s knowledge and skills, providing timely feedback and guidance.
Ability to analyze statistical reports & perform calculations.
Monitoring / tracking of test cases / test scenarios/defects/resolutions utilizing JIRA
Document issues and risks
Effectively manage time in order to successfully meet set targets & handle multiple priorities simultaneously to ensure follow-through to completion.
Effectively communicate, partner and interact with peers, Supervisors, Associate Directors, and other members of senior leadership.

Ability to maintain confidentiality.
Applying strong knowledge of processes and procedures
Ability to develop ideas or recommendations that may have an impact on existing or future systems/applications, products, services or procedures and business processes.
This position requires a high level of flexibility
Interfacing with multiple project teams / workgroups to ensure all inclusive testing of processes, procedures and operations.
