Sikorsky Aircraft Corporation is a world leader in the design and manufacture of advanced helicopters for commercial, industrial and military uses. Sikorsky helicopters are used by all five branches of the United States armed forces, along with military services and commercial operators in more than 40 nations. Based in Stratford, Connecticut, USA, Sikorsky has outlying facilities in other Connecticut locations as well as in Florida and Alabama.
Fleet Analytics is the process of applying Sikorsky-developed science, technology, tools and expert resources to a fleet of assets to identify current trends, predict future outcomes and influence the future state of operations. Data generated from the aircraft's health usage and monitoring system (HUMS), aircraft operations, and aircraft maintenance is collected, conditioned, mined, analyzed and interpreted to determine actionable and effective changes to the aircraft design and maintenance scheme as well as implications and upgrades of the aftermarket support of an aircraft. The ultimate goal of Fleet Analytics is to increase the availability of supported aircraft, reduce operational costs and to support a strategic business shift to condition-based maintenance. Tactically, the focus is to develop a more proactive aftermarket support posture, ultimately resulting in reduced downtime, decreased maintenance actions and lower direct operating costs.
The Military Fleet Analytics Center Manager will manage and supervise the people, processes and outputs of the Analytical Center, including relevant work of supporting groups (e.g. R+M / HUMS). Examples of this work scope include, but are not limited to, the following:
