Major Duties and Responsibilities:
Responsible for the execution of service orders that are scheduled through Service Suite 8 (SS8) application in a field environment. Responsible for making decisions concerning field conditions that hinder the completion of service orders.
Investigates and completes all service requests scheduled
Ability to re-route service orders for maximize workload efficiency
Responsible for transmitting and receiving radio communication
Documents field conditions in Service Suite 8 (SS8) application
Install, replace, and re-program AMR meters, registers and meter lids
Monitors and completes service requests via laptop
Follows daily laptop procedures to ensure equipment is working properly. Ability to troubleshoot laptop issues when warranted
Reports connectivity issues to appropriate personnel. Ability to convey issues accurately and concisely
Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
Minimum Qualifications:
Requires high school graduation/GED; preferably supplemented with customer service background and computer experience. Must have excellent communication skills, both verbal and written; ability to interact courteously and effectively with the public. Must be flexible in working all shifts and report to work in emergency situations. Requires a good driving record and a valid North Carolina driver's license. Final candidate subject to drug screen and criminal background check.
