Primary Responsibilities:
: Design and Implement REST Web Based Services
: Develop server based software with Web Services and other XML based technologies
: Data modeling, Data replication, Performance and tuning, Database optimization, SQL in the Oracle environment
: Implement OO designs using Design Patterns in presentation and business tiers
: Develop web application components using HTML, XHTML, and Javascript/JQuery
: Develop web applications in J2EE platform
: Develop web applications using Hibernate, Spring, and Spring MVC
: Participate in Pair Programming
: Regularly perform unit testing as part of code development
: Collaborate with architects and software engineers on design decisions and direction for web application requirements and mentor less senior personnel
: Participate with business units using Agile techniques and practices to identify requirements and designs
: Regularly communicate with project team and management

Required Skills and Experience: Minimum Qualifications:
: 5 years technology development related experience with Java or related programming language
: 5 years experience with REST based web services
: 5 years experience with J2EE application development
: 2 to 3 years experience in the following technologies to evaluate, develop and test using:
o Spring, Hibernate and Junit tests
o Dynamic HTML, XHTML, Javascript, Ajax and CSS
o Java J2EE based application development
Desired Skills and Experience:
: Demonstrates self-motivation, ability to learn quickly and to apply knowledge to solutions
: Very strong interpersonal and communications skills including both oral and written proficiency. Must be able to present effectively to development teams and business partners
: Demonstrates drive to create elegant code via refactoring in order to minimize bugs and hotfixes
: Relational database using SQL and Oracle
: Experience with evolutionary/continuous design
: Ability to present complex technical topics to a non-technical audience
: Experience and willingness to work in a fast paced Agile software development environment
