The Parsons Brinckerhoff Denver office is seeking a CADD Designer with a minimum of three years of experience in the design of roadway and highway projects. This position will be initially assigned to a Denver-based project team to deliver an important and exciting Colorado Department of Transportation (CDOT) project.
In addition to the initial assignment, the successful candidate may work as a part of project teams on small to large size transportation projects for DOT and local agency clients including the CDOT, the City and County of Denver, and the Federal Highway Administration (FHWA). The successful candidate will be responsible for performing the following tasks:
Generates roadway design, survey and construction drawings, etc.
Prepares layouts, drawings and design from rough or detailed sketches and/or drawings
Analyzes, design and confers with engineering staff to verify or resolve details not complete
Redesigns, modifies, or otherwise edits existing design
Makes minor mathematical calculations
Computes quantities and tabulate items for creating summaries and construction cost estimates
Other duties as assigned
High school diploma plus two years specialized technical drafting, math, and computer training. Formal CADD training is preferred and a minimum of 3 years CADD experience is required. At least one year of proven experience with Microstation V8 or later is required and experience with AutoCAD, InRoads and Geopack is desirable. Experience with Microsoft Office Suite is required with the specific ability to work with Excel spreadsheets. Must have legal authorization to immediately work in the United States. Local candidates preferred.
