The Director, Behavioral Health Services (DBHS) is responsible for all behavioral health services at SEARHC. In this capacity, the incumbent provides leadership, strategic and operational direction to the Behavioral programs/divisions of the Consortium. This Division consists of full-service psychiatry, clinical psychology and behavioral health clinician services from the Haa Towoo Naakw Ht outpatient behavioral health clinic in Sitka and the outpatient behavioral health clinic in Juneau; three residential substance abuse treatment centers Gunaanasti, Dilee Hit, Yil JeeyÜx; and the Community Family Services program that provides substance abuse prevention, education and counseling services in nine Southeast communities, grant funded prevention program; and a telebehavioral health program where patients in remote communities can receive services from a psychiatrist, psychologist and or BH Clinician at any end point within the network. There are approximately 100 staff positions within the Division. The Director serves on the Operational division director leadership team.
Baseline Qualification Requirements:
**All license and certifications must be kept current for duration of employment.**
- Masters degree in a human services field (i.e. Psychology, Counseling, or Social Work).
- Seven years of director level management experience in a non profit behavioral health/mental health and/or substance abuse fields with at least 5 years supervising staff in the human services field, including substance abuse and/or mental health services.
- Incumbent must have current licensure/certification (and be eligible for licensure in Alaska) in one or more of the following areas: Licensed Professional Counselor or Licensed Clinical Social Worker at time of hire.
- Must secure certification in chemical dependency (CDC1 in Alaska or equivalent MAC, within one year of hire).
