Work involves assisting the County Engineer in technical and administrative duties, and designing, planning, overseeing and inspecting various roadway and bridge construction and repair projects. The position may also perform direct supervisory responsibilities for the reviewing and assigning of work of the Engineering Assistants.
Qualifications and Requirements:
- Bachelor of Science degree in Civil Engineering.
- Certification as Engineer-in-Training by the State Board of Registration for Professional Engineers and Land Surveyors in the State of Alabama.
- Valid driver's license.
Physical Demands & Work Environment:
50% work is performed indoors in an office environment. 50% of work is performed outdoors at job sites with exposure to extreme weather conditions.
Work is light in nature. Site work involves prolonged walking and standing.
