Basic Purpose Performs assigned tasks with regard to all required financial reporting at the division while applying accounting techniques and standard practices to the classification and recording of financial transactions. Responds to non-routine moderately complex inquiries in assigned area with some degree of latitude and judgment using existing GAAP and existing Company policies, procedures and practices.
Description
Prepares month-end journal entries and completes general ledger account analysis.
Prepares account reconciliations and supporting schedules for profit and loss and balance sheet.
Completes bank reconciliations.
Provides annual budget and forecast support data.
Reconciles and tracks all accounting entries from customers and vendors.
Responds timely to requests for information/reports from auditors, regional or corporate associates.
Completes special projects and analysis as requested by the division controller or Vice President.
Qualifications
Education/Training: Bachelors degree in Accounting/Finance required.
Related Experience: A minimum of three years in general accounting required.
Knowledge/Skills/Abilities: Strong analytical and problem solving skills. Attention to detail and organizational skills; multi-task oriented; and ability to meet deadlines. Proficient in Microsoft Office with advanced Excel skills. Experience with PeopleSoft accounting preferred. Thorough understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles and financial statement preparation and analysis. Effective oral and written communication skills. Ability to work with and demonstrate discretion with confidential information.
