Position Summary:

MarkMonitor is looking for a highly technical motivated individual to join our team of Anti-Fraud and Internet Security experts. The position's primary responsibility is to directly support the Anti-Fraud, Security Operations Center (AF SOC) team of Security Analysts. This will involve using their expertise and knowledge to perform high level analysis involved in online fraud investigations. The candidate must be detail-oriented and possess the ability to communicate technical matters clearly and effectively to both internal AF SOC team members as well as external 3rd parties. We're looking for a college graduate who is looking to get in on the ground floor of a growing field or that more seasoned veteran who is looking to move their career in new direction.

REQUIREMENTS:

  • 3 years of scripting experience in a Linux/UNIX/Windows environment
  • PHP (a must)
  • Perl (a plus)
  • Javascript/AJAX – (a must)
  • C, C++ (a plus)
  • Solid database experience (SQL), preferably under PostgreSQL and/or MySQL, JDBC
  • Experience in working with common Internet protocols (e.g., SMTP, HTTP, HTTPS, DNS, Whois, SSH) (a must)
  • Experience with working with Web servers (Apache, IIS, Ngnix) (a plus)
  • Experience developing web applications
  • Knowledge of the Internet, Registrars and ISPs (a must)
  • Experience with HTML, HTML5 and CSS (a must)
  • Must be able to implement and script simple, lightweight clients for common Internet protocols (a must)
  • Experience with dealing with Internet Security – (Phishing is a plus)
  • Experience with dealing with and/or debugging Malware (a plus)
  • Ability to learn new technologies quickly
  • Excellent verbal and writing skills
