** THIS POSITION IS CONTINGENT UPON A NEW CONTRACT AWARD AND SUBSEQUENT FUNDING
ESSENTIAL AREA OF RESPONSIBILITY:
All areas of responsibility listed below are essential to the satisfactory performance of this position for the Global Combat Support System-Air Force (GCSS-AF) Program Office (SPO) Maxwell-Gunter activities, with reasonable accommodation, if necessary. Work responsibilities may vary, depending upon assignment.
Research, identify and (as necessary) document system security requirements
Design and document systems security architecture
Develop System Security Authorization Agreement (SSAA) or like Security Documentation Package IAW appropriate guidance and directives (e.g. DITSCAP, DIACAP and FISMA
Develop and document security test scenarios
Participate early and often within the confines of the System Engineering Process(SEP)
Conduct Security Test and Evaluation (ST&E) and/or Certification Test and Evaluation (CT&E).
Perform system security analysis, identify risks, and recommend a course of action to mitigate any security risks
Understand and implement (up to and including most recent) Department of Defense (DoD), NIST and Federal agency security requirements using applicable DoD and Federal guidelines, Executive Orders, and laws
Work independently while understanding the necessity for communicating and coordinating work efforts with other employees and organizations
Establish and maintain effective professional working relationships with co-workers, and customers.
Follow PESystems policies and procedures as described in corporate manuals and directives. Follow all PESystems Quality System Manual ISO-9001-2000 Procedures.
Attend work each day during scheduled work hours unless on approved travel or time off.
Perform occasional travel to contractor and customer sites, as required (see WORKING CONDITIONS below).
Work flexible hours, including occasional overtime with prior approval.
Carry out other duties as may be assigned or requested.
Work is performed indoors at GCSS-AF and associated facilities in Montgomery, AL with some potential risks to safety and health hazards related to electronics.
Travel to CONUS locations may be required.
Bachelor’s Degree plus 7 years equivalent experience in a Dept. of Defense (DoD) setting.
Certified Information Security Manager (CISM) is desired
Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP) is preferred
Air Force information systems, operational support systems and broad acquisition knowledge of GCSS-AF related systems and technology is desired
Ability to effectively communicate both orally and in writing
Must currently have and maintain a Secret government security clearance.
Must be competent in the use of Microsoft Office Applications (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Access).
Must be able to transport self to various facility sites, as required. If using own motor vehicle, must possess a valid driver’s license and proof of insurance.
Physical Skills and Abilities:
May require lifting up to 25 pounds.
Requires visual acuity to use a keyboard and computer mouse.
