Entry level position in the Fleet Performance and Diagnostic Center (FPDC), which serves as the operations center of NextEra Energy Resources' wind fleet.
Position requires independent evaluation, selection, and application of standard techniques and procedures while using judgment when making adaptations and modifications. Assignments have clear and specific objectives and require investigation of limited number of variables. Receives instruction on specific assignment objectives, complex features, and possible solutions. Assistance given for unusual problems and normally reviewed for application of sound professional judgment. Uses Production and Production Assurance processes to help improve reliability and performance.
Accountabilities will include:
Monitoring and resetting wind turbine fleet (80% of their time)
Working with PMI and off takers to perform curtailments and other instructions
Dispatching technicians to the sites
Event notification and reporting
Monitoring wind site substation health
Monitoring voltage/VAR/PF compliance
Proficient in MS Office Suite; exposure to statistical tools and techniques
Position follows a 12-hour rotating shift that requires candidate to work nights, weekends, and holidays
Position also requires occasional overtime
Requirements: Bachelor's Degree in Engineering
