The University of Miami Miller School of Medicine is currently seeking a temporary Registered Nurse. This position plans, directs, and evaluates total nursing care and functions in the Division of Pediatric Pulmonology.
Responsible for patient triage, attending clinics, calling pharmacy for prescription refills, obtaining lab results and arranging for nursing care. Prepares patient for and assists physicians with treatments and examinations. Relates effectively with other staff for continuity of care; participates in all phases of education, maintenance of records, and upgrading of policies, procedures, and skills of personnel.
Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing and a BLS certification required. Valid Florida Registered Nurse license required. One year of relevant nursing experience in a healthcare setting required. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Strong interpersonal skills; ability to collaborate well. Schedule is four days a week, Tuesday–Friday, 10 hour shift.
