PATHWAYS TO SUCCESS PROGRAM

C.R. England is actively seeking to recruit talented students and recent graduates from all academic backgrounds into our Pathways to Success program and entry level positions. Ranging from semester long internships, part-time and full time jobs, all our positions offer a first-hand opportunity to learn about the transportation industry.

"Pathways to Success" is our competitive internship program that provides, top tier university students with internship credit, career opportunities, and real world experience at C.R. England. With a specifically student-designed program there are multiple offerings to meet student needs.

Opportunities are available in our operations group with positions as Driver Manager or Customer Manager.

The final selected candidates will be offered full time positions. For those with a few classes to complete weekend positions with pay ranges up to $18 per hour are available until graduation.

WHO CAN APPLY This program is open to any recent graduate or undergraduate in their final year from any field of study. The program is ideally suited to those with little to no transportation industy work experience. C.R. England is looking for students with remarkable academic achievements that have held leadership roles in athletics, clubs, or other school sponsored activities and have an interest in the transportation industry.

WHEN TO APPLY

All applicants must apply February 15, 2013 - March 1, 2013

SELECTION PROCESS

Once the March 1, 2013 appliction deadline has passed all applicant resumes will be evaluated. The most qualified candidates will be contacted for interviews.

Once the initial interview process has been completed, a second and third round of interviews will be conducted by the C.R. England, Management team. This process will conclude before finals week of the 2013 spring semester.

One to Five candidates will be offered full time and weekend positions with our company at that time.

DRIVER MANAGER / CUSTOMER MANAGER JOB DESCRIPTION

The Driver Manager is at the very center of a fast-paced strategic environment. Our customers require individuals who think strategically and plan ahead of rapidly changing situations while maintaining a positive team oriented attitude. DMs must be organized and engaged with the team.

The Driver Manager will manage asset utilization and drivers to ensure high delivery of customer service and fleet profitability. Additionally, the DM assists, coaches and mentors drivers with all training and administrative items.

  • Contacting Drivers to Swap Loads
  • Handling urgent situations in a professional manner.
  • Tracking Drivers, Loads, and Receivers
  • Dealing with multiple customers at once
  • Handling approximately 80+ Drivers
  • Working with Load Planners, Driver Managers, and Service Advisors within C.R. England.
  • Negotiating situations to meet expectations of customers and C.R. England.
  • Dealing with Logistical problems
  • Planning future workload
  • Conflict Resolution

    Pay Range:
    First year compensation $40,000 to $47,000 to start. Pay Rates DOE.
