Contract Location: Hillsboro, OR

Contract Duration: up to 18 months

Project Description: Come and join the team that is creating new and differentiated experience on our Mobile Devices. Smart Devices is looking for experienced Android software engineers. You will need to know how to develop applications and system services on Android and have a solid understanding of Android internals. Experience with user interface development, inter-process communication, Java and native services, accelerometer, gyro, GPS, other sensors, camera, networking, web services, and location based services are needed. You might have even developed and application or two and posted it to Google Play. Daily Responsibilities: Application and Software Development for SDI Android phone

Necessary Skills :
MS in Computer Science or equivalent experience

Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Skills at the UI programming layer in Android

Experience developing end user applications on the Android platform

Experience with Smartphone development

Proficient in Java, C and/or C++

Experience with Linux kernel programming

Experience with the Android OS Linux development environments, including HAL layers and Android OS Framework

Strong design, development and debug skills

Excellent interpersonal relations and teamwork skills

Good problem solving skills, debug skills

Quick learner, self-motivated to work independently on designing new software

Experience with working on Low Power systems would be an added advantage, but is not required
