ContractTelecom Engineer (Linux ) / 166848

Contract Location: Hillsboro, OR or Santa Clara, CA

Contract Duration: up to 18 months

Project Description: Software Defined Networks

Daily Responsibilities: Design, development and integration of Linux network stacks and modules

Necessary Skills:
Setup and configure blades, racks, switches, install network adapters, OS, kernel modules

Familiar with wireless test equipment, traffic generators (e.g. Spirent, NG40) to generate workloads

Familiar with virtualized environment for creation and configuration of VM’s

Configure EPC functions (signaling, control stacks), provision subscriptions, set authentication policies, policy/charging functions

Develop automated scripts for telecom network market, traffic models

Perform system analysis (CPUs, BUS, memory, NIC,) using specialized tools (emon)

Monitor network traffic, set protocol stack probes, perform protocol stack analysis

Develop scripts (Python, Ruby, shell) for automated tests and XML Wireshark/pcap output captures
