Construction RES Americas Construction, Inc. seeks a Project Manager in our Broomfield, Colorado office to manage substation, storage, and frequency response installation construction projects. This position manages responsibilities on several projects as opposed to being responsible for a single project. The specific duties and responsibilities of this position will include:

Oversee technical quality, accuracy, and standards adherence of engineering and design drafting for the projects, by directing and coaching managers and working with the engineering and technical groups to ensure that work outputs comply with standards and meets contract requirements;

Establish processes for on-site systems and communication lines, and performing quality control checks to ensure processes are implemented according to the plan;

Develop site-specific quality control documentation (with site quality assurance or quality control supervisors);

Monitor and document site progress, and produce weekly reports to RES management on site progress and monthly reports to clients;

Manage performance by subcontracts, including:

Prepare bid documents and assess bid returns from subcontractors;

Write and revise site specific subcontract scopes of work;

Produce and revise construction schedules using MS Project;

Communicate terms of main contracts to subcontractors to ensure adherence to all contractual obligations; and

Chair Plan of the Day meetings with all subcontractors and client representatives and weekly site safety meetings with subcontractor managers.

Work with project civil and electrical engineers (RES in-house or third party) to ensure availability of required drawings and information ahead of construction and to resolve technical issues during construction;

Review drawings to ensure completeness and constructability; and

Accomplish other job-related duties and functions requested by the supervisor.

REQUIREMENTS: The position requires a Master's degree or foreign equivalent degree in Electrical Engineering or a closely-related field and three (3) years of progressively responsible engineering experience, including experience managing large-scale electrical and substation construction projects; or a Bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent degree in Electrical Engineering or a closely-related field and five (5) years of progressively responsible engineering experience, including experience managing large-scale electrical and substation construction projects. The position also requires travel to various project sites around the U.S. (up to 5%).
