RES America Developments Inc., located in Broomfield,
Colorado seeks a
Provide all transmission-related support for the
interconnection and operation of utility-scale renewable energy,
frequency regulation, and energy storage projects within designated
regions of North America (US and Canada), from the "prospecting"
phase of a project through the commercial operation date
Assess curtailment potential and locational marginal
pricing (LMP) differentials resulting from transmission constraints
to identify optimum project sites and determine economic risk for
Devise strategies for utilizing financial transmission
rights (FTRs), wheeling, and transmission services agreements
(TSAs) to assure energy deliveries from projects to
Determine optimum strategy for interconnecting the
project output to the electric grid based on curtailment potential,
interconnection costs, system impact assessments, real-time energy
pricing, and market delivery options.
Assessment of the technical and commercial feasibility
for interconnection and delivery options proposed for third-party
projects in which Renewable Energy Systems Americas Inc. is
considering acquiring or providing services.
Identification and assessment of opportunities for the
development and construction of new transmission lines.
Monitor transmission issues in local, regional, and
Federal Energy Regulatory Commission (FERC) level regulatory
venues, particularly regarding transmission interconnections, cost
allocations, and dispatch protocols.
Use analytical tools and methods to determine optimum
plan for interconnection and energy delivery.
Assess actual grid capacity in a region by reviewing and
verifying technical studies performed by transmission providers,
subordinates, and consultants.
Communicate and negotiate with transmission providers to
develop the most efficient and cost-effective plan for integrating
the project into the electric power grid.
Bachelor's Degree in
At least three years of
experience as an electrical engineer handling technical studies,
regulatory and administrative issues relating to transmission and
bulk electric systems, followed by an additional two years of
experience with a major energy developer handling a wide spectrum
of commercial, technical, strategic, regulatory, and administrative
issues pertaining to the interconnection and delivery of energy
from renewable energy projects.
relationships with transmission planners, transmission
interconnection administrators, and transmission tariff personnel
with multiple investor-owned and cooperative
with interconnection queuing processes including the direction and
assessment of feasibility, system impact, and facilities studies
and associated financial requirements.
transmission interconnection and wheeling protocols, power markets,
and dispatch protocols within applicable North American Electric
Reliability Corporation (NERC) and Regional Transmission
