Purpose of Position: The Product Manager will drive the long-term strategy, vision, development, and release of products and features for the platform. He/she will maintain pertinent knowledge regarding customer needs and perspectives, including identification of target markets and development of effective marketing strategies. The Product Manager will also define product specs, ensure that cross-company approvals are obtained, and then manage the product’s creation, development, and execution.
The Product Manager will guide cross-functional teams -- Engineering, Content Production, Business Development, Program Management, Product and Brand Marketing, User Experience and Design, Sales -- through each step of development and beyond to the evolution of new and existing product.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Managing the execution of key projects for the FOL business and other executive Stakeholders.
Develop detailed strategies and roadmaps and manage the strategic vision for the fol platform
Drive increased traffic and order volume by implementing a product strategy that includes:
Keyword Research / SEO Strategy
On-Page Optimization / Architecture
Link Outreach / Link Building
Social Media Integration
Content Strategy & Development
Local Maps Optimization
Compose detailed requirements documents (MRDs, PRDs, Roadmaps, etc.)
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to execute on requirements
Write and manage project plans
Drive cross-functional team deliverables and schedules
Provide a vision for where this business will evolve based on a solid understanding of Internet technology
Evaluate and communicate financial impacts of potential product changes
Clearly prioritize amongst many competing possible alternatives and plans
Manage assignment of tasks and keep the teams on task
Ensure that all stakeholders are kept fully informed of project status and progress
Collaborate closely with executives during the complete product development lifecycle.

7-10 years of experience in a fast-paced technology environment. 4+ yrs. in a Product Management role with Internet or Web-based products.
Highly organized and task-oriented
Outstanding team player
Ability to coordinate people and activities across multiple functional areas and global locations
Experience in driving projects from requirements through launch
Demonstrated capabilities in communicating and presenting at all levels of the organization
Familiarity with mobile applications and mobile commerce
Experience in social media, search, community, or personalization products preferable
Specific & in-depth knowledge of the online portal products, including Media, online Direct Marketing and Search
Ability to be creative, problem solve & build strategic/visionary product roadmaps for future product needs
Experience developing & managing product plans across the entire product lifecycle from initial deployments through end of life.
Understanding of search advertising, contextual advertising, banner/rich media advertising, Search Marketing products & emerging platforms such as mobile commerce/advertising.
Proven ability to work in a fast-paced environment with multiple constituents & a large number of small tasks
Proactive, entrepreneurial & detail-oriented individual
Strong prioritization capabilities such as analyzing levels of urgency, dependencies, etc.
