Candidate will be the Network IPTs Subject Matter Expert (SME) for integrating, sustaining, and operating the Spiral 6.4, C2BMC Distributed Training Network (CDTN), Distributed Training Suite (DTS), and/or BOA. Candidate will be required to travel to remote locations to perform network installations in accordance with Program configuration management processes, independently perform troubleshooting, and provide status updates to Program personnel. Candidate will be embedded with the network design team in Virginia in support of Spiral 8.2 lab-based development and integration testing.
Candidate must possess hands-on experience and knowledge of network engineering design and integration including router and switch configurations, TCP/IP network troubleshooting, and network traffic analysis.
Certifications in the industry vendors Cisco (CCNP, CCIE) and/or Juniper (JNCIA, JNCIS, JNCIP, JNCIE) components highly desired. Understanding of network communication protocols and network routing protocols (BGP, OSPF, and EIGRP). Experience in UDP multicast, SONET, ATM, VLANs, GRE Tunnels, and TCP/IP preferred.
Required Education (including Major):
Bachelor of Science in the Computer Science field, or equivalent experience (i.e. EE, CIS, CPE, MIS, IT). Must possess a DoD 8570 certification at IAT Level II or higher (Security+, GSEC, SCNP, SSCP, CISSP, CISA, GSE, SCNA).
