In this position, you will conduct design, development, release and initial support of software, hardware, and platform integration projects specifically for the assigned division.
This role includes relationship development with software, hardware, and platform companies that may act as vendors for this type of system development. The Senior Project Engineer develops project plans and drives the integration of such systems and functionalities throughout the assigned segment, while ensuring common platform compatibility across segments and IT initiatives. Must be proficient in CAD software, C++, Java, and Microsoft Office programs including Excel, Word, Outlook and Access.Other Skills and Abilities Ability to design, develop and launch industrial heavy hydraulic equipment from a project engineering position; to demonstrate to employees, customers and dealers the product needs to better define the product; and to provide informative and professional assistance when working with the public/customers and co-workers and maintain positive interpersonal relationships which encourage openness.
Ability to supervise staff in the performance of duties such that performance meets or exceeds expectations; to coordinate product development activities to release successful products from a performance standpoint; and to maintain plant efficiency during the building process. Demonstration of good oral and written communication skills. Knowledge of customer satisfaction, machine manufacture, hydraulic systems and 24/12/6 volt electrical systems. Ability to calculate materials strength, troubleshoot equipment and test various equipment; to contribute ideas for machine improvements; and to understand and operate normal mechanics tools, such as lathes, drills and torches.
