PRIMARY FUNCTION(S)
Odyssey Systems is seeking a SCCM Administrator to work as part of the Desktop Engineering team which is responsible for the overall desktop experience at our customer site. There are two SCCM Administrators on the team including this position. The SCCM Administrators share responsibility for all the engineering, support and deployment of the standard Windows desktop and software at the lab. As customer advocates, the SCCM Administrators ensure that the desktop maintains high performance and ease of use. They also perform limited server administration for systems under the purview of the Desktop Engineering team. The SCCM Administrators also provide third tier support for Windows desktop related issues and research and develop new technology and tools to support desktop computing and the desktop experience.

RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES

Specific Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
: Administer System Center Configuration Manager (SCCM) 2007 and 2012.
: Plan upgrades and roadmaps for new desktop management tools.
: Develop process documentation for updates and software deployments.
: Determine overall strategy for SCCM feature implementation and architecture.
: Evaluate tools to facilitate deployment of desktops to users.
: Identify potential security risks and implements appropriate countermeasures.
: Act as customer advocate to ensure the desktop maintains high performance and ease of use.
: Administer backend servers used to manage Desktop Engineering systems.
: Develop reports to support the laboratory's asset management effort.
: Generate action plans for addressing inactive clients and reporting inaccuracies.
: Create custom reports for tracking IT security issues and compliance status.
: 3rd tier desktop support.
: Conduct training for 1st and 2nd tier technicians and Service Desk staff.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
: BS/BA
: 5 years experience with SCCM.
: 5 years experience with Windows desktop management and support.
: 3 years experience with Windows desktop deployment.
: 2 years experience with Active Directory.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
: Working knowledge of App-V and its integration with SCCM 2012.
: Working knowledge of application packaging and deployment using MSI's or tools such as Flexera's AdminStudio.
