Under immediate supervision performs work of routine and moderate difficulty in recreation programs; and performs related work as required.
The average number of weekly hours is sixteen hours.
Examples Of Duties:
Report directly to program leader.
Assist certified instructors and community agency representatives with class activities.
Work with students in classroom setting or in small group activities.
Facilitate behavioral interventions as needed or appropriate.
Awareness of adherence to program rules and regulations.
Communicate in a positive manner with staff, parents, students, and other public when needed.
Ensure the safety of children at school site in and outside of building.
Punctuality and good attendance is a must.
Participate in all staff development and needed trainings.
Provide information to staff for outgoing communication to parents and building staff.
Willingness to take direction and follow through with the given directions.
Other duties as assigned according to the varying needs of students and staff.
Require current CPR and First Aide Certifications or willingness to commit to the training opportunities.
Experience working with youth.
Ability to motivate and encourage youth.
Must pass police background check.
Must be at least 16 years old.
