Interns are assigned to an organization department based on the candidate's background, skill set and interests. The assignments are project-oriented, meaningful to the department and allow the intern to take responsibility for a major task. Interns experience a sense of personal accomplishment and contribution and experience the corporate business culture through work assignments and structured activities. They gain the communication and etiquette skills required in business while sharing knowledge gained from recent courses. They also enhance their computer skills and learn new systems and software.

Each intern assignment consists of challenging projects with specific goals, providing opportunities for personal growth and development. Interns that demonstrate outstanding qualities may be invited back the following year for a second internship or to interview for full-time positions in our various new hire programs. This summer internship is primarily located at the California Business Center based in the Metropolitan Los Angeles area.

Interns may qualify for a housing allowance and/or travel assistance. During the internship, interns will have the opportunity to participate in many activities designed especially to enhance their knowledge of Chrysler and our products.

The Business Center Intern for Chrysler's Field Sales Organization is responsible for assisting in the development of strategies and tactics to support established targets in the district and supporting forecast objectives by vehicle line. The qualified candidate will also ensure dealer orders meet market demand, as well as assist in managing monthly vehicle allocation vs. scheduling to ensure maximum production capability within the district. Additional responsibilities include ensuring dealer advertising is consistent with the Dealer Advertising Association and the national corporate message. In addition, the intern will serve as a liaison between the dealers and Chrysler to assist in areas of retail customer satisfaction and conflict resolution within the corporate guidelines (i.e. incentives, logistics, restrictions, etc.).

Basic Qualifications:
Pursuing a Bachelor's degree at an accredited university

At minimum, completion of sophomore year by spring of 2013

GPA of 3.0 or higher (based on a 4.0 scale)

Strong organizational and communication skills

Proficient in MS Office products (Excel, PowerPoint, etc.)

Preferred Qualifications:
Self-starter, independent and results-oriented

Strong work ethic
