2013-14 Fall Law Clerk

The NCAA office legal affairs will hire one (1) part-time law clerk (at least 20 hours a week) during the academic year. Individuals applying should be entering their 2nd year of law school. This position is shared with another part-time law clerk traditionally returning from the last fall term entering their 3 rd or 4 th year of law school. The clerks will work closely with the NCAA general counsel, deputy general counsel, associate general counsel and assistant general counsel performing legal research, drafting documents, preparing legal memoranda and assisting in litigation activities. Most activities of the office involve the areas of intellectual property, antitrust, labor and employment, and contract law. Additionally, the clerk is provided a “behind-the-scenes” view of issues facing collegiate athletics.

This position is offered to local law students (IUPUI, IU Bloomington) and it is a paid position.
