Established, industry leading progressive Energy Services Company seeks an experienced 24-7 help desk specialist who will be responsible for monitoring event activations. We are a growing Buffalo Top 100 privately held company that provides Demand Response services to industrial, commercial, institutional and government clients. Our service involves paying our customers to reduce energy usage during times of peak energy consumption. The help desk administrator will work out of our ECS headquarters in Buffalo, NY.
Role and Responsibilities:
Operate the 24/7 Event Desk by monitoring for the possibility of an event activation, respond to any triggered event for our 24/7 markets, answer any questions for our customers, and report on event activations.
You will also assist our companies in finding potential prospects, as these events are rare. You will utilize prospect templates for database imports, verify current info in our database using the internet or phone calls, use print media, Google Earth and other internet searching tools to prospect for potential prospects.
Candidate must be able to work overnight shift, weekends, and possibly holidays. There are different shifts available.
Job Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
Candidate must be a self motivated, responsible, and hard working individual. Candidate must able to work independently, while being a team player. Must have great Microsoft Office skills in: Excel, Word and Outlook, working knowledge of Google Earth is necessary and knowledge of ACT database is a plus.
Education and Experience:
2 or 4 year college degree is preferred, experience using Microsoft applications is needed. Experience working an overnight job is also a plus.
