As a member of the Art team at ngmoco:) your responsibilities
Work closely with the Art Director to define and enhance the visual style of the game.
Create concept art for characters, environments, weapons, etc. This includes creation of ideas from scratch as well as creation of style guides for use by other artists.
Create final in-game artwork as well as placeholder art as required by engineering.
Work with engineers on artist tool creation to create a seamless pipeline of art integration.
Must be able to create a variety of art assets In many styles.
Create art in either 3D or 2D depending on the current need.
Things we expect from our Senior Artist:
Ability to adapt to a broad range of art styles
Strong painting and sketching skills
Excellent design skills including color and composition
Expert knowledge in 3D authoring software (Autodesk 3DS Max and/or Maya)
Proficiencies in 2D Adobe Suite software (Flash, Photoshop, Illustrator, After Effects)
Strong technical knowledge of software and general game development pipeline
Ability to balance collaborations with internal artists, external teams, and independent efforts
Candidates must demonstrate proficiency with listed software packages and provide portfolio including samples of work for evaluation of Artistic skill.
Required Master’s degree in Arts or related OR Bachelor’s degree in Arts and five years of progressive experience.
