4323 - Product Safety Specialist

We are currently seeking a Product Safety Specialist to support our Product Safety team in Montvale, New Jersey to perform the following:
Conduct hazard evaluations and health risk assessments for Surface and Pest products in accordance with RB policies, guidelines and statutory requirements globally.
Ensure products are properly categorised per Country regulatory requirements and that appropriate Product Classification Files, Product Safety Reviews and Poison Centre Information exist.
Produce core Product Safety documents in accordance with RB policies and statutory requirements
Ensure California Prop 65 risk assessments are completed for all products marketed in the USA.
Ensure surface and Pest Products are properly classified per GHS, Biocide, Pesticide regulations.
Prepare, maintain and update Regulatory Safety & Environmental files.
Ensure Precautionary and First Aid language for product labels and packaging is appropriate and meets statutory requirements
In compliance with policies, manage toxicity studies supporting product registration and safety (as assigned).
BS/MS in toxicology, biology, chemistry or a related science with 2-5 years of relevant experience or a combination or a combination of education and experience.
Working knowledge of regulatory requirements for U.S. Federal & State and Canada required, Australia and EU preferred.
Working knowledge of FIFRA, TSCA, CPSC and CCCR is required.
Working knowledge of Dangerous Preparations Directive (DPD): EU GHS; Detergent Directive; Biocide Preparations Regulation (BPR) and Pesticide regulation
Experience conducting and monitoring toxicological tests.
Experience with risk assessments, data interpretation and report evaluation.
Experience conducting Proposition 65 assessments.
Word processing, spreadsheet and related computer skills a must.
Database management skills desirable.
Results-oriented, entrepreneurial and self-motivating.
Ability to work independently.
Experience in working in multi-functional and multi-cultural teams.
