This is a Full-Time position.
Roanoke Rapids, NC
High School diploma or equivalent required for all services provided
Prefer two years’ experience working with people with developmental disabilities, but not required
Ability to work independently
Ability to handle multiple responsibilities and assigning priority to activities
Ability to manage the goals of multiple individuals and families on a timely basis,
Must complete and maintain current ESUCP training curriculum, which includes, but not limited to the following: CPR/First Aid, NCI, Medication Administration, in-service trainings as required and other trainings relevant to position as defined by local program guidelines
Assists with identifying individual goals
Assists in developing and monitoring outcomes and adjusts as needed
Assists individuals we support with inclusion
Respects the dignity and individuality of each individual and his/her right to confidentiality
Assist individuals we support with daily needs
Ensures that the safety, health, hygiene and nutritional needs of the individuals we support are met
Ability to lift a minimum of 50 pounds and transfer individuals we support as needed
Assists individuals at learning and increasing skills in all areas of independence
Completes required paperwork accurately and as required by program
Performs other duties as assigned by supervisor, supervisor staff, filing, documentation, and administer medications as ordered.
This position requires staff to sleep at the group home overnight and work for 7 days on and 7 days off.
