Experience:

District 49 credits each year of verified full-time/full-year K-12 teaching experience

Work Schedule:

180 contracted teacher work days

  • Completely fill out the Applitrack application - listing all work experience. Work experience listed on the application will be what is reviewed to determine salary placement.
  • Upload a copy of your valid CO teaching license
  • If you are a Spring 2013 Colorado college/university graduate and you will not be able to apply for your license until after transcripts have been received, please type up a letter of explanation and upload where you would normally upload your CO license
  • Upload all CO PLACE or PRAXIS II scores. If you do not have them in your possession, visit the following Colorado Department of Education link, enter your social security number and birthdate and click on 'Search' - this will give you all licenses and tests that CDE has a record of on you.   • To be able to set your salary correctly - and potentially determine your highly qualified status under federal No Child Left Behind guidelines - upload full and complete transcripts beginning with your BA/BS degree and including ALL credits completed after your BA/BS degree was conferred.
  • PLEASE NOTE: Official Transcripts will be required upon hire so please order transcripts now to be sent directly to you. If selected for hire, official transcripts need not be in a sealed envelope but are required to be on official college/university transcript paper. Transcripts must show degree conferment if applicable.
  • Answer all questions on the application including all disclosure questions.
  • Upload 3 letters of reference
  • IF YOU HOLD AN OUT OF STATE LICENSE - You will need to upload this where the application indicates out of state license. A letter of explanation will need to be drafted and uploaded where you would normally upload your CO state license explaining where you are at in the CO licensure process. This letter of explanation MUST include a statement as to when your submitted your completed fingerprint card to the Colorado Bureau of Investigation (CBI). CBI is currently running approximately 16 weeks behind and CDE will NOT issue a license until your fingerprint/background clearance has been completed and the results sent to CDE.

    Qualifications:

  • BA/BS from accredited college or university
  • Valid Colorado License endorsed in area of assignment: Secondary Math OR
  • a valid CO licensed endorsed in another area AND passing exam scores on the CO PLACE - Math or PRAXIS II - exam #10061 only OR
  • a valid CO license endorsed in another area and 24 or more semester hours in Math - HR to review transcripts and make determination OR
  • a valid CO license endorsed in another area and a BA/BS or higher major in Math - HR to review transcripts and make determination
  • Must be willing to embrace the philosophy of an International Baccalaureate school
  • Basic understanding of standards-based grading, RtI and PBS a plus
  • Willingness to be a collaborative member of a PLC required community a requirement
