SUMMARY OF RESPONSIBILITIES:
Under the supervision and direction of the Controller The A/R and Revenue Manager is responsible for the timely and accurate billing of customer invoices in accordance with contract terms and Company policies and procedures, ensuring appropriate revenue recognition in accordance with U.S. GAAP and DCAA standards, analysis of open A/R and reporting of A/R metrics, collections of outstanding receivables, maintenance of invoice supporting records in accordance with DCAA audit requirements, and assistance with cash flow projections for future billings and collections.
ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
The successful applicant will be able to review and analyze contracts for revenue recognition and billing timing/frequency implications, ensure all unbilled revenue and other related accounts are accurate and reconciled, ensure revenue, job cost and A/R records are maintained in compliance with accepted policies and procedures, provide accurate and timely Limitation of Cost and Limitation of Funding reports, review and approve all contract modifications or additions and ensure accounting records are updated accordingly, act as a liaison between Accounting, Contracts, and Program Managers, ensure systems and procedures are in compliance with company policies, acceptable accounting practices, and applicable regulations, ensure all financial reporting deadlines are met, establish and monitor the implementation and maintenance of accounting control procedures, resolve accounting discrepancies and irregularities, conduct Financial and DCAA audit preparation for and in support of the audit process, ensure maximum automation of the billing process and optimize use of Job Cost System (JAMIS), generate and complete customer invoices, collect on outstanding unpaid customer invoices, work closely with Treasury to ensure proper application of cash receipts.
QUALIFICATIONS AND EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS:
Bachelor’s Degree (BA/BS) in accounting or equivalent experience
Candidate will have 4 – 6 years government contracting experience; and minimum of 1 – 2 years supervisory experience
Knowledge of generally accepted accounting practices and principles (GAAP)
PREFERRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:
MBA or CPA Certification
LOCATION: Colorado Springs, CO, minimal to no travel required.
