The Accountant is responsible for working with the Controller in the management of the Finance and Accounting Operation. Position will work within all accounting functions including General Ledger, Accounts Receivable and Billing, Accounts Payable, Disbursements, and Financial Reporting.

Accounts Payable/Disbursements
  • Enter vendors into the system (subject to approval by the controller)
  • Enter vendor bills
  • Prepare check run
  • Maintain relationships with key vendors

Employee expense reporting:
  • Assist upper management with entering their monthly expenses into the Wells Fargo system
  • Process employee reimbursements (via Wells Fargo and manual)
  • Maintain and manage corporate credit card system and monthly payment cycle
  • Maintain integrity of expense reporting and record-keeping—ensure compliance with corporate and IRS guidelines

General Ledger
  • Maintain capital expenditures/depreciation schedule
  • Oversee various account reconciliations

Purchasing and Fixed Assets
  • Complete purchase orders and obtain proper approvals for technology and other purchases
  • Monitor purchasing of technology (i.e. computer hardware, software and media) including assessment of proper general ledger posting and capital budgeting analysis
  • Track actual expenditures versus budget on an ongoing basis
  • Monitor JSS and coordinate periodic fixed asset inventories
  • Support Use Tax analysis and reporting

  • Oversee maintenance of office record-keeping systems
  • Create digital filing process

Financial Reporting
  • Assist with monthly close and compiling materials for Board and other departments
  • Assist with job costing, T+E analysis
  • Develop ad hoc analysis and reporting as requested

  • Minimum of an Associates Degree
  • 3-7 years of previous work experience
  • Experience with Mac computers and software (a plus)
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office and Quickbooks and Intacct a plus
  • Knowledge of SalesForce a plus
  • Knowledge of sales tax issues in applicable states and related reporting
  • High level of personal and professional integrity
