The General Contractor is a well established commercial contractor, in Carmichael, CA., performing state/county projects in water and underground sewer construction jobs.
Independant Contractors will be considered for the position, as well as an employee.
The ideal candidate MUST be an experienced, accounting professional, with a heavy emphasis on job costing. You MUST have experience in CONSTRUCTION PARTNER, construction accounting software.
Primary duties will include:
Manage an accounting department and supervision of accounting staff.
Perform all job duties in a meticulous and thorough manner.
Maintain and process documentation for various accounting and administrative functions, including all reporting requirements for prevailing wage projects
Prepare bank reconciliations, and maintains rolling cash flow projections
A/R collections and preparation of progress billings and lien releases.
Oversees the weekly payroll function and prepares payroll tax reporting and other periodic reports to government agencies.
Conducts month-end general ledger closing and makes related journal entries and WIP reporting
Working knowledge of GAP
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to handle confidential and sensitive material with discretion
Adept at managing multiple companies/inter company accounting
Compensation will be communsurate with experience and ability. The postion requires approximately 20-30 hrs/wk. Telecommuting is an option, for part of the work time required to complete the tasks.
