The Financial Analyst is responsible for maintaining and analyzing data related to the financial performance of the organization and individual departments. The Analyst may also be responsible for compiling and reporting information as requested by Grants and Contracts, Financial Accounting, Internal Audit and management.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
1.
Financial Management and Operational Reporting:
' Assists in the preparation of the annual operating and capital budget for the Research Institute,
' Maintain an record of philanthropic gifts to support research and monitor spending against those funds,
' Assist in the preparation of the annual Indirect Cost proposal.
' Produces monthly financial reports for manager/director,
' Reviews monthly revenue and expenditures across all administrative departments,
' Reconcile equipment purchases to the Asset ledger monthly,
' Review transactions across the Research Institute for accuracy with respect to coding,
' Prepare the quarterly Federal Cash Transactions Report for all Federal awards issued under a letter-of-credit,
EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS
BBA, BS or BA with a major in Accounting, or related degree is required.
EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS
Requires three to five years financial analysis experience in health care, insurance and/or business industry

SPECIAL KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES REQUIRED
Experience with Excel and Access software.
Strong analytical and database skills.
Ability to analyze and manipulate data and financial reports to improve the operational and financial effectiveness of the organization.
