The Financial Analyst is responsible for maintaining and analyzing data related to the financial performance of the organization and individual departments. The Analyst may also be responsible for compiling and reporting information as requested.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Provides information to investigators on their post-award grant activities and assists in tracking and reconciling grant accounts
Provides assistance to investigators by ensuring funds are spent in accordance with federal guidelines and in compliance with NIH policies
Candidate will assist in coordinating and monitoring various finacncial activities of the department
Coordinate any grant expense transfers
Compile financial reports for investigators
Assist with annual departmental and administrative operating budgets
Functions with relative independence
Other duties as assigned
Candidate must have good organizational skills and ability to multi-task and communicate effectively at various levels within the organization.
Candidate should be able to work independently and with little supervision.
BBA, BS or BA with a major in Accounting, or related degree is required.
Requires three to five years financial analysis experience in health care, insurance and/or business industry
CERTIFICATES, LICENSES AND REGISTRATIONS REQUIRED
SPECIAL KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES REQUIRED
Experience with Excel and Access software.
Strong analytical and database skills.
Ability to analyze and manipulate data and financial reports to improve the operational and financial effectiveness of the organization.
