To augment our dedicated full time faculty and respond to enrollment demands, we occasionally seek highly qualified ADJUNCT INSTRUCTORS to teach day and evening courses within the Communications Department of our School of Arts and Humanities.

Requirements:
The Communications Department is seeking adjunct instructors who are committed to teaching a diverse population of students. Each instructor is expected to be current in the discipline and should have a strong knowledge of how social media and other technological innovations impact the field. Prior teaching and professional experience are most beneficial to the students in our discipline and some combination or expertise in at least one of these is essential.

To qualify as an ADJUNCT INSTRUCTOR-JOURNALISM within the Communications Department, the successful candidate must possess:
  • a Master's degree in Communications, Journalism or a related field
  • Current fluency with Social Media and their application in the field
  • Previous experience teaching at the collegiate level is preferred

Compensation includes a competitive stipend, paid incrementally during the semester. After one semester of service, Adjuncts are eligible for a 50% tuition scholarship (waiver) for undergraduate and/or graduate courses on a maximum of six credit hours per semester (not to exceed the value of three credit hours). Tuition waiver can be used during the semester in which the Adjunct teaches or during the following semester.
