Successful candidate will: Evaluate software design, development and test activities, review and evaluate contract deliverables (CDRLs) especially as it relates to space software; Run the USC Code Counter and analyze the output/results; Develop procedures and policies for software estimation of space and round software; Conduct data collection activities, normalization of data; Conduct quality reviews of software estimates, software datasheets; Evaluate potential requirements changes and Engineering Change Proposals (ECPs) that would affect or cause impact Space Systems Mission Control and Display software implementation, performance and functionality.
Bachelor's degree is required in Engineering, Computer Science or mathematics. A Master's degree is desired.
Selected candidate is required to have seven (7)to ten (10) years experience in estimating software for space and Ground systems, Life Cycle Cost Estimates, cost estimating tool and model development, cost and technical data collection, cost risk analysis, and/or earned value management.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
Must be proficient in Microsoft Office applications. Skills with cost estimating tools such as SEER/SEM, PRICE, @Risk are a plus. Must have working knowledge of software development.
Applicant selected may be subject to a government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information. A Single Scope Background Investigation (SSBI) completed within the past five years is required in addition to a current CI Polygraph.
