As the primary editor for this department, Associate Producer/Editor collaborates with TV Producers to execute creative projects for the Pledge, Auction, and Direct Marketing areas. Duties include assisting in creation of spots, roll-ins, pledge programs, & auction spots and programs, plus elements specifically
designed for web fundraising efforts.
The AP/Editor also packages programs for PBS, APT, and other program distributors who contract with WGBH to produce programs for national distribution. The AP/Editor will work with the Pledge and Auction team to conceptualize and create products for a
variety of projects using resources within the Foundation and from without.
The candidate will execute many projects from start to finish in a self-directed manner.
The candidate will also be scheduled to perform Assistant Director duties occasionally for live and pretaped pledge/auction productions.
Responsible for supporting diversity and inclusion in the workplace and interacting in a way that is free from discrimination, intolerance or harassment.
Three to five years experience in a variety of editing styles, online and off-line. Experience with Final Cut Pro or AVID editing system required. Experience with editing projects for the web also required. Candidate should be able to demonstrate a level of creativity and innovative thinking that is required in a
fast-paced, deadline-driven environment. Ability to manage multiple priorities and types of projects is a must. Ability to work both alone and on a team. Assistant Director experience a plus, but not required. Must be adaptable to evolving technologies.
Bachelors Degree preferred.
