Assist with admissions and advising process
Facilitate course planning, demand forecasting, and examination of curricular issues
serve as liaison among School of Accountancy, Business Career Services, and
accounting firm recruiters to promote student internships and placements
Follow up on enrollment, internship, and permanent employment data and reporting
Keep track of professional development program (PDP) points/attendance at Speaker’s
Assist with fixing degree audits
Follow up with graduate school paperwork (e.g., Dual Enrollment/Transfer to Graduate School/M-1’s )
Update/maintain accountancy database
Assist in market analysis for program initiatives, certificate/degree programs and extensions
Teaching (3 hours a semester)
$44,000 to $48,000
8-5 Monday-Friday and other hours as necessary based on position needs/activities
1) Master of Accountancy (MAcc) or MBA,
2) Professional accounting certification (CPA, CMA, CIA), and
3) internship and/or full time work experience (1 year or more).
Master of Accountancy (MAcc). Advising MAcc students would best be done by someone with a graduate business degree, since this position relates to a 150-hour program (i.e., five year, integrated bachelor’s and master’s degree program in accountancy). Or a related graduate business degree (e.g., MBA).
Internship experience or some full time experience. Internship of at least 6-8 weeks and or full time experience of at least 1 year – in public accounting, industry, government, academia or private practice.
Certification: Certified Public Accountant (CPA), Certified Management Accountant (CMA), or Certified Internal Auditor (CIA).
