The Department of Health Promotion and Physical Education at Ithaca College invites applications for a tenure-eligible teaching position to begin August 16, 2013. The selected candidate will be expected to primarily teach undergraduate and graduate courses in Health Education pedagogy in addition to some of the following; health sciences, health, and/or medical science courses depending on qualifications. The selected candidate will also be responsible for advising students in health sciences, health education, and premedical programs; participation on departmental, school, and college committees and activities; and maintaining an active scholarship profile.

Doctorate degree preferred, ABD considered in health education, education, or public health education. Three years K-12 school teaching experience and college teaching experience strongly preferred. Evidence of scholarship and promise of continued scholarship, desirable. Candidates with interests in school based and or community based health promotion programs are encouraged to apply.
