Academic faculty position in the Section of General Surgery including patient care, teaching, administrative, and research responsibilities. Research activity will include initiation of projects, acquisition of external funding, project direction, and publications.

Medical doctor degree. Completion of General Surgery residency training program. American Board of Surgery certification or eligibility. Hold or have the ability to obtain the appropriate medical licenses in the State of Michigan and a Federal DEA license. Demonstrated ability as an academic surgeon. Evidence of competence in clinical and didactic teaching is expected. Evidence of scholarly ability (publications in peer-reviewed journals, successful acquisition of external funding, etc.) is also expected. Underfill Statement
