This position's purpose is to provide assistance to faculty, students, and staff in the areas of educational/audiovisual technology and processes. The position assumes responsibility to set up, operate, troubleshoot, and maintain instructional technology and content-delivery systems throughout the School's instructional facilities.

A flexible schedule is required for this position. Weekend hours, earlier or later start and end times may apply depending on service demands. Weekend hours and working on holidays will be required based on curriculum and non-curriculum service demand.

Duties include;

Set up, operate, troubleshoot, and maintain instructional technology and content as needed to support the School's educational mission.

Audio or video recording of curriculum activities, including traditional classroom, teaching laboratories and on-line environments.

Audio or video recording of non-curriculum activities, such as meetings, special events, ad hoc seminars and video conferences.

Assist in preventive maintenance, repair and updating of instructional media equipment.

Document systems and protocols for use of instructional media.

Assist faculty and students in the creation of presentations.

This person must be punctual while demonstrating the ability to be flexible according to the time needed for completion of various activities and projects. S/he must have the ability to take problem-solving initiative. The successful candidate will demonstrate a high energy level for continuous relocation of activity. S/he must have the ability to communicate on many levels to the diverse constituents of the School. Technical ability, the ability to communicate on all levels and the ability to take initiative and solve problems quickly are essential aspects of this position. An attractive feature of this position is that the work is varied and there is an ability to learn, especially when there is the introduction of new technology.

Required Skills

Must have an Associate, Technical or Vocational Degree and less than one year of experience.
