Responsibilities:
Perform as a member of the India Board of Directors and manage stakeholder expectations by conducting periodic board meetings.

Provide professional leadership, direction, guidance and ideas/concepts to the India team.

Anticipate and plan for growth and change.

Review the expenses vs income performance of the Indian entity periodically and ensure a healthy ratio by controlling the largest costs – salaries, premises, investments etc.

Preside over all statutory and legal obligations and manage at minimal risk.

Set and manage all departmental plans and targets.

Identify avenues to lower cost of production and increase efficiency, quality, and client/employee satisfaction.

Create, draft and successfully implement key policies and procedures across all departments that ensure a robust framework of governance and operations. Improve existing policy and procedure framework to keep pace with emerging operational / business needs.

Manage the entire gamut of day to day dynamics and challenges of a rapidly changing Company operating in a niche space. Professionally represent the company as the local head of India operations.

Preside over the weekly organizational level review meetings.

Manages the appraisal process for all department levels.

Operations:
Review and approve transition and operations plans.

Guide ideas and practices for improved operational efficiencies and excellence.

Conduct weekly review meetings with the Ops staff.

Quality:
Spear head the ISO 9001 – 2000 surveillance program and continue to successfully uphold certification.

Manage continued compliance of the SAS 70 (SSAE) quality requirements

Ensure continued SLA compliance across all client deliveries.

Plan for an ever improving quality culture in the Company.

Software products and services:
Oversee, contribute and review the overall development, and continuous improvement of our 3 major products – O’Clever, ISARS and WMT (now DMS).

Human Resources:
Manage the complete workforce strategy of Pune operations, including review and approval of manpower requirements, plans and budgets.

Intricate involvement in interviewing, assessing and approving all potential for senior, middle management and key personnel across all departments.

Suggest, review and approve annual key result areas, periodic targets, competence (skill) maps and balanced performance assessments.

Identify avenues for talent acquisition and retention.

Develop a very strong and hands on relation with the entire workforce.

Control monthly attrition rates.

Help HR Comply with all regulatory compliances.

Finance and legal (corporate governance):
Review and align financial performance as per approved plans and targets for India site.

Maintain relations and liaison with bankers, chartered accountants and Company secretaries.

Review various periodic and year end audits, reports etc.

Training:
Review and approve training budgets, plans and the annual (+ refresher) training calendar for the India team.

Administration:
Monitor compliance of key admin systems, such as capital asset tagging and tracking systems, vendor negotiations, critically evaluate the need for expenses and investments in the infrastructure.
