TSTC is searching for three dependable, student focused individuals to join the Enrollment Management - Advisement Center team.

Duties and responsibilities:
  • Provide college, program, and academic requirements to applicants, students, and their families.
  • Provide individual and/or group advising to applicants and students.
  • Assist with the development, implementation, tracking, and documentation of the Advisement Center activities.
  • Support collaborative initiatives for recruitment and retention.
  • Utilize technology and information systems to effectively advise and motivate students, and support student success.
  • Assist with the program selection, advisement, and degree plan review.
  • Assess student goals, interests, and prior academic experience.
  • Maintain working knowledge of advising, college programs, and policies.
  • Maintain student enrollment data.
  • Adhere to strict confidentiality and ethical standards.
  • Assist with other duties, as assigned.

Minimum Requirements:
  • Minimum Bachelor's degree in appropriate field from an accredited college or university.
  • Minimum experience 1 year in higher education, advisement, or a related field.

  • Possess knowledge of curriculum and degree plan requirements.

  • Possess strong critical thinking and reasoning abilities.
  • Possess technological skills, including but not limited to using Microsoft Office products.
  • Possess strong oral and written communication skills.
  • Exhibit effective communication skills and ability to interact effectively with students, parents, faculty, and staff.
  • Must possess a valid Texas Drivers license and be insurable by the State of Texas and be eligible to drive, as needed.
