Academic Programs Coordinator 20120105
This position provides professional level administrative support in academic activities for medical resident program. Responsibilities include maintaining records and databases, coordinating medical certification, licensure and professional medical liability, managing the program application process and maintaining documentation for continued accreditation of the program.Please list what you need the person to do here. Coordinate program application and interview process, handles correspondence and forms for incoming interns and graduating residents. Screens all applications for residency and fellowship programs. Maintains, reviews, and compiles all documents received from applicants. Corresponds with applicants regarding their application status.
Develops and maintains databases and spreadsheets to track procedures, and rotations and prepares provider call schedules. Coordinates data and prepares accurate reports, maintains data files and prepares manuals in coordination with the Program Director. Prepares and monitors program budget and expenses.
Maintains resident medical certification and professional medical liability insurance. Assists residents with travel arrangements. Prepares and submits travel authorizations, travel voucher reimbursement requests and correspondence.
Processes requests for verification of residency for hospital or provider network privileges, or for licensing.
Responsible for gathering data and preparing resident evaluations for review by Program Director.
Coordinates and manages medical student rotation program. Performs other duties as assigned.

Associates degree with five years experience, or high school diploma or GED with seven years experience.
