ACCOUNT EXECUTIVE (NYC) – Algenist

Solazyme Health Sciences recently launched Algenist, an exciting new, anti-aging skincare line based on our advanced biotechnology. Algenist is currently available in over 900 Sephora stores globally, in Space NK stores and on the QVC shopping channel. The brand is off to a tremendous start and we are now expanding Algenist to additional countries and launching new products in 2012 and 2013. We are currently recruiting talented and energetic individuals to join the Algenist team and help build the long-term success of the brand.

The Account Executive will be responsible for account performance, merchandising and in-store presence for the Algenist brand at Sephora retail locations in New York City.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
Responsible for driving and managing stores sales performance, merchandising and in-store presence for the brand

Responsible for in-store brand trainings in territory and providing input on training materials and in-store sales tools.

Deliver excellent customer service and will work closely with key retail locations in territory to ensure optimum merchandising, staff training and new product implementation.

Work closely with Algenist Sales and Marketing team at the home office and will provide regular sales performance, visit and opportunity reports to management team.

Represent and promote the brand at tradeshows, corporate trainings, and consumer events, both in-store and out of store.

Responsible for maximizing their in-store presence to increase retail sales within territory: Lead by example in areas of product sales, link selling technique, customer service and merchandising.

Network with Retail Store Management to actively seek and understand opportunities within territory to increase sales, plan and execute in-store trainings and execute special events to support brand marketing calendar and to drive sales

QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE:
Minimum 4-5 years of experience in skincare field sales or account coordination roles, with experience in product training.

Bachelor’s degree desirable but not required. Some college or equivalent (such as Esthetician license) is required.

Should be proficient in MS Office (Word, Excel and Powerpoint).

Must have experience working with Sephora stores.

Able to easily commute to NYC and surrounding areas and willing to travel out of the area for events or meetings 5% of time.

Should have an energetic, positive and service-oriented personality and be skilled at relationship-building.

Should be passionate about skincare products and implementing brand education and training initiatives.

Must be focused, show excellent attention to detail and demonstrate an entrepreneurial approach to their work.

Fluency in French, Japanese, Spanish or Mandarin Chinese desired but not required
