Position Summary
Develops and strengthens relationships with existing region smaller financial institution partners over the phone. Develops new profitable business as targeted with the sales leadership. Establishes and maintains procedures for all assigned accounts in an orderly manner. Maintains current business by providing quality service and by developing incremental volume.

Key Duties / Responsibilities
Selling:
Develops an annual region sales plan for assigned financial institutions to include prospecting, re-signing accounts, and growth initiatives for current partners. Acts as a Subject Matter Expert for telesales activities for the Direct Sales Division; Develops new account prospects within the assigned market area. 30%

External Relationship Management:
Establishes and maintains customer goodwill with assigned financial institutions. Develops and maintains phone contacts with key decision makers and individuals of influence to provide opportunities for control and full service of accounts. Provides ongoing information to smaller financial institution personnel regarding ordering and billing procedures. Maintains corporate relationships in all key functional areas (marketing, data processing, operations, and purchasing) within the financial institution for both selling and feedback. Reports competitive activities to those responsible for the relationship. 25%

Internal Relationship Management:
Maintains internal corporate relationships in key functional areas (marketing, billing, procurement, Partnership Development) for both effective selling and receiving feedback. Report generations of competitive activities to internal functional areas. 15%

Solutions Management:
Acts as a consultant to smaller financial institutions for development of new and innovative products and programs. Coordinates instruction of financial institution personnel on the effective use of promotional materials. May participate in field activities, such as, training, presentations, territory coverage for the sales organization as needed. 15%

Verbal/Communication Skills:
Develop and maintain relationship with existing business over the phone including growing the business through a consultative sales approach to promote Harland Clarke products and services. 15%

Education & Knowledge Required
Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience.

Experience / Skills / Abilities Required
6-8 years previous sales experience.
5 years previous Telesales, Telemarkeing, or Contract Center Services experience preferred.
Above average checking speed and accuracy, and typing; above average numerical skills and reading speed; superior grammar, punctuation and spelling skills; superior reading comprehension.
Superior intellectual ability, work habits, presentation and reporting skills.
Excellent organizational and interpersonal skills

Communication & Contacts Required
Constant interaction with customers, other Sales personnel, Corporate and Plant personnel over the phone.

Decision Making
Position requires above average problem solving skills and independent judgment

Qualifications
Education & Knowledge Required

Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience.
