ROLE SUMMARY

The Account Executive will be responsible for identifying, sourcing, pitching, defining, negotiating, closing and managing interactive advertising revenue from ad agencies and direct advertisers. The company’s ad units include standard compliant video ad units as well as sponsorship and custom development & distribution. We are looking for a candidate who is well connected with both brands & agencies, a hunter, and a strategic seller wrapped into one – someone who will consistently deliver both long term strategic sales as well as tactical short term deals and constantly be driving towards maximizing the revenue opportunities across all accounts. The ideal candidate will have in-depth experience in the marketing and sales of digital advertising for rich media. Candidates must be highly motivated, possess outstanding communication skills, have demonstrated knowledge of online advertising and be willing to work in a fast–paced, dynamic and growing environment. PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES

Strategize and generate revenue from agency and sales territory assignment through sales calls and sales presentations introducing and positioning YuMe’s video solutions (pre–rolls, overlays, custom in-stream rich media units and other interactive video units) into high–value brand advertiser accounts

Persuasively communicate YuMe’s offerings and unique value-proposition to advertisers and agencies via email, over the phone, through in-person meetings/presentations and through formal campaign proposals in a way that meets advertiser and agency business needs and marketing objectives

Develop and maintain relationships at all personnel levels within an account, demonstrating a thorough understanding of the account’s organization, needs and revenue potential

Meet or exceed quarterly sales quotas against the territory and account list

Work with cross-functional teams internally to ensure campaign success and growth of partnerships

Utilize Salesforce consistently to accurately record sales activity and deal pipeline

Help develop local marketing initiatives and participate in industry events

Represent YuMe with the highest level of integrity

REQUIREMENTS

3-5 years interactive sales, online advertising or digital sales experience

The ideal candidate will have digital/video sales experience, from a Network or Publisher

Excellent track record in developing relationships with advertising agencies and direct advertisers

Existing, current relationships with media buying decision makers favored

Active in industry trade and networking events

Demonstrated ability to perform against quota and excel in a highly competitive market

Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint and Outlook)

Use of sales / CRM software (e.g. Salesforce.com, etc.)

Existing, current relationships with media buying decision makers favored

Excellent knowledge of industry trends, technologies, and pricing models

Strong ability to collaborate and coordinate

Ability to travel as needed, and have a driver’s license

Professional maturity, integrity, discipline and a positive attitude

Bachelor’s degree required

COMPENSATION

The successful candidate will receive a compensation package (Salary, Commission and stock options) commensurate with his/her track record and level of achievement. Our packages include no cap on commissions and accelerators over 100%. Top performers can achieve above market rates on total compensation.
