The ideal candidate will be able to demonstrate a successful sales track record, will be Internet savvy and will be able to clearly articulate the Smarsh value proposition with confidence. The candidate will be responsible for creating a pipeline of sales activity. The successful applicant will also follow up on inquiries from customers who contact Smarsh via the Internet, visit the booth at Trade shows or attend events hosted by Smarsh.
Close business via the phone by proactively calling "cold" and "warm" prospects
Keep abreast of and develop effective sales strategies for product offerings and new technologies
Effectively sell against competition, whether it be other companies or a customer's internally developed solutions
Understand and be able to effectively articulate the business value of the Smarsh solutions
Understand and articulate the technical product features, advantages, and benefits; quote prices and applicable terms and conditions; prepare sales orders and contracts
Develop collaborative relationships with internal teams
Attend US. trade shows and events hosted by Smarsh
Present a quarterly business review that identifies how the AE is performing against plan
Proactively qualify and track customer profiles and other relevant sales data
Utilize CRM tools for account and opportunity management and reporting
Education and Experience:
Bachelor's degree strongly preferred
Prior sales, marketing or business development experience
Knowledge of financial markets and or hosted technology services is highly advantageous
A minimum of 2 years successful telephone and/or cold-calling experience or 2 years of outside selling experience
Commitment to meeting and exceeding quarterly revenue objectives
Proficient in the use of relevant CRM database tools
Good organizational and time management skills
Proven ability to sell over the phone or in front of the customer
Effectively identifying and qualifying prospects and opportunities
Maintain a highly motivated, positive attitude focused on results
Maintain a strong work ethic
Demonstrate the ability to overcome customer objections
Ability to multi-task in a fast -paced environment
Keep management appraised of all opportunities and maintain an accurate forecast each and every quarter
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
