National Sales will report to the Senior Vice President of Sales of this established third party logistics provider. You will actively pursue valued business opportunities to qualify leads and customer needs, resulting in solution recommendation, negotiation and pricing. Long-term goals include new business development, account revenue growth, and increasing account responsibility (array of products and level of relationship). Coordinates complete sales cycle process including prospect list initiation, lead generation, prospect qualification, analysis, pricing, proposal preparation and presentation(s), contract signing, start-up and customer service follow-up after the sale. Functional staff will include Vertical business owners and Customer Relations and Development. Challenge is to expand account base, increase revenues and improve profitability.
Third Party Logistics or a Truckload/LTL Carrier Sales (5 years)
Integration of Technological Systems (i.e., WM, TMS)
Computer literate (Office 2000 suite, Power Point, Word, Excel)
Education: 4 year Bachelor's degree (i.e., Business, logistics or related discipline)
Travel: Up to 75%
Background Preferred (but not required):
Thorough knowledge of services (i.e., Distribution, Warehousing, Freight Forwarding, Transportation, 3PL)
Third-party logistics operations
Knowledge of Contact Management Programs
Other Essential Abilities and Skills:
Good communicator (Verbal & Written)
Demonstrable written and oral communication skills

Executive level presentation skills
